Hestia Co. ("Hestia," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to providing a website and services that are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This page describes our approach and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

Our commitment

We aim to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and to align hestiaco.ca with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a practical benchmark for accessible design.

What we do

Use clear, readable typography and sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
Provide descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icons
Support keyboard navigation for links, menus and form fields
Structure content with semantic headings so it can be understood with assistive technology
Design forms, including our Request a Quote form, with labelled fields and clear error messaging
Test the Site across common screen sizes and devices to keep layouts usable at every scale

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we update the Site, we review new pages and features against these standards and correct issues as they're identified. No website is ever fully "finished" when it comes to accessibility, and we treat it as a continuous responsibility rather than a one-time fix.

Accessible customer service

Our team is trained to welcome and accommodate customers and visitors with disabilities in the course of providing our commercial cleaning, landscaping and snow removal services, consistent with Ontario's Customer Service Standard under the AODA.
